Local Training Iniative Project
Mullaghmatt Cortolvin Local Training Initiative (LTI)
Mullaghmatt/ Cortolvin Community development Project operates within a community, which was traditionally held to be the most marginalized in county Monaghan
Unemployment rates in the area are much higher than the national average. The problem of early school leaving is recognised as a significant factor
The community Development project enjoys a positive and healthy relationship with all the statutory bodies and it became apparent that a local training Initiative, sponsored by FAS, could best address the local needs in training, education and employment. The LTI was set up in 2005.
